In 2003 after 100 successful years the school moved into newly built premises at The Links, Whitley Bay.

Since moving to the new premises we have been joined by …

• Zone4Kids, who run the Breakfast, Wraparound and After School club every school day. The Wraparound is especially for children who attend the Morning Nursery and then join the Zone4Kids team for lunch and an afternoon of fun! 
• St. Edward's Playgroup, who meet every morning in the community room.

Coquet Park First School provides education for children aged from 3+ to 9. We are holders of the Basic Skills Award, Investors in People, Activemark 2006 and the Healthy Schools Award.

We aim to promote a safe and secure environment in which children can learn to be a member of a caring community. We believe that children are able to achieve their potential in a happy and supportive environment.

We encourage close liaison with parents. Parents are welcome to support children and teachers through voluntary participation in many activities.
